Azure Saga: Pathfinder Screenshots

Azure Saga: Pathfinder is pretty much the definition of a “flawed gem,” occasionally becoming infuriating thanks to a small handful of questionable design decisions, but exerting enough of a pull regardless that I found it difficult to pull myself away. Numerous things started to drive me crazy by the end, from frustrating bugs to random encounters that I desperately wished could be toggled off once you hit the level cap, and yet I stuck around to finish off all of the sidequests and class change quests that I had picked up. The art is great, the music is memorable, the characters are all likable despite the English writing being chock-full of errors, and the mechanics exist somewhere between the familiar and unique, ensuring that encounters aren’t nearly as annoying as in other games that feature random battles.
