Monster Hunter: World releases autumn 2018 on PC

Capcom announced the release date for Monster Hunter: World back in September, and the game’s still on track for a January 26 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That’s quite soon. Today, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto gave an update on when to expect the PC version, and that release date is decidedly less soon.

Monster Hunter: World is aiming for an autumn 2018 release on PC. Based purely on calendar dates, that means anywhere between September 22 and December 20, so if you’re waiting to play MHW on your computer you’re going to continue doing so for eight months or more. More details are coming “later.”

Additionally, Tsujimoto confirmed that free updates are planned for the game following its initial release, including new monsters. No word on whether the PC version will launch with those additions, however.
