Turtle Rock have announced what they’re doing next, though they’re yet to give it a name. It will be a fast-paced, co-op focused FPS developed in association with the community. For a publishing partner they’ve got F2P moguls Perfect World, and while they’re yet to announce a business model, that hints strongly that you won’t be paying a full boxed price.
Given they’ve made one of the best co-op games ever, quite the pedigree to live up to.
As for setting, it’s a “new franchise” in an “all new universe” and all Steve Goldstein, president of Turtle Rock, would tell GI.biz about it is that it’s got a “strong dark fantasy element” to it. He also clarified that it isn’t post-apocalyptic or zombie-related, clearly distancing it from Left 4 Dead while maintaining that it will appeal to fans of the studio’s particular co-op style.
