The structure of DNA was published in Nature today (in 1953). So it's sort of like DNA's birthday, or the discovery of DNA's structure's birthday to be more accurate. But I just thought DNA's birthday sounded better and more concise. In 1962 Watson and Crick would earn the Nobel Prize in Medicine for this discovery.
