The Horadric Cube is a quest item that you will obtain in Act II and you can use it to complete several quests. Also, it’s better to have it always in your inventory in order to have more storage space available as you can store items inside the Cube.

Another helpful use of the Horadric Cube is that you can store some Jewels that boosts your resistances and equip them when you are facing a tough Cold, Fire, Lightning or Poison Master. In addition, Deckard Cain can identify your items even if they are inside the Cube.

Crafting Items

You can use the Horadric Cube in order to craft some new items. For doing so, you have to gather the proper ingredients and place them inside the Cube and then hit the ‘Transmute’ button.

Crafting Recipes

3 same type Runes = 1 Rune of the above Level

• 3 El Runes = 1 Eld
• 3 Eld Runes =1 Tir
• 3 Tir Runes = 1 Nef
• 3 Nef Runes = 1 Eth
• 3 Eth Runes = 1 Ith
• 3 Ith Runes = 1 Tal
• 3 Tal Runes = 1 Ral
• 3 Ral Runes = 1 Ort
• 3 Ort Runes = 1 Thul

Stone of Jordan + 1 Rare Item + 3 Perfect Skulls = Add 1 Socket to a Rare Item.

Note that you can only add 1 socket to a Rare Item with zero sockets.

Stone of Jordan + 1 Rare Item + 1 Perfect Skull = 1 same type High Quality Item 
1 Rare Item + 6 Perfect Skulls = 1 same type Random Low Quality Rare Item
Magical Sword + 4 any type Health Potions + any type of Ruby = a Magic Sword of the Leech
You can use this formula to get an Item Level 30 Life Stealing sword (4-5% Life Stone per hit).

3 Magical Rings = 1 Random Magical Amulet
3 Magical Amulets = 1 Random Magical Ring
3 Small Rejuvenation Potions = 1 Full Rejuvenation Potion

3 Gems (lower than Perfect) of the Same Grade and Type = 1 same type Higher Grade Gem
Use this formula to upgrade your great amounts of low quality Gems into something more valuable.

2 Quivers of Arrows = 1 Quiver of Bolts (it works the other way around as well, 2 Quivers of Bolts = 1 Quiver of Arrows)
