Arc System Works has released a free update for the January 2017-released Double Dragon IV that adds several online modes to the game, the company announced.
The update adds the following online functionality:

- Online Mode #1: Story Mode – Play “Story Mode,” the game’s main mode, with a friend or another player from around the world. Play with various different combinations of playable characters.
- Online Mode #2: Tower Mode – Play the challenging “Tower Mode” with a friend or another play from around the world. Play this mode to unlock further playable characters.
- Online Mode #3: 2P Duel Mode – Play against distant friends and strangers from all over the world. Freely select from 25 playable characters, including hidden characters.
Double Dragon IV is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.
