God Eater Online to end service on September 27

God Eater Online will end service in Japan on September 27, one year and seven months after launching in February 2017, Bandai Namco announced.

The purchasing of Oracle Cubes, which acts as in-game currency, will end on August 27. Any Oracle Cubes that have been purchased will be available for use until service ends.

Here is an overview of the game, via our previous coverage:

The smartphone God Eater game follows an original story full of high-speed and stylish battle action. Players can head out to massively multiplayer online fields with other users to take on formidable Aragami, as well as chat with each other. By devouring Aragami, players will gain experience points to level up and strengthen their stats. By using materials gathered in the field to upgrade your God Arc, players can customize the game to their personal play style.
