Team Faceless Runs Into Issues With Their Visas

Team Faceless’s Daryl “iceiceice” Koh’s post on Twitter yesterday revealed some shocking news. Apparently, the team has run into issues with their visa.

This means that the team could potentially be unable to attend all upcoming DOTA 2 events. This has been a recurring issue for a lot of the SEA teams, with Execration missing the Boston Major as a prime example.

What do we know?

Though Team Faceless has yet to make an official statement about the situation, we can guess what issues the team face. By looking at some visa issues other SEA teams have faced in the past, we can get a rough idea of what might have happened.

In the case of Execration, the team had issues acquiring P1 Athletic Visas for their players. The reason behind it was a delay at the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. The team tried to explore other options with Valve, but ultimately, Execration had to let their invite spot go to another DOTA 2 team, LGD.

Execration and Faceless aren’t the only teams that have faced such issues acquiring their visas. Teams like LGD.Forever Young and iG Vitality have also faced similar issues in the past. Both teams had to get a stand-in from another team to fill the spot.

We’ll have to wait for Team Faceless to make an official announcement about their situation. Check back for further updates about the situation.
