If you’ve been itching to try out all the hype you hear about Civilization 6 since its release last October, then I have good news for you. 2K and Firaxis have released a 60-Turn Demo on Steam today!

If you’ve already started planning your nefarious schemes, I want you to put a hold on that as the demo only gives you access to China’s Qin Shi Huang and The Red Dragon. Sadly, the exciting Australian civilization that was recently added to the game won’t be available for play. You’ll also be limited to 60 turns which equates to approximately two to three cities. A complete game can take over 250 turns so this is just the tip of the iceberg for new players. A tutorial is also available to give you a crash course on the game’s basics.

I’m not sure if this short demo would draw more players in because it takes a lot more to have a thorough understanding and appreciation for the game. But running a sale on all editions alongside the demo release would definitely help lure more people into the addictive turn-based gameplay.
