As I’ve told my readers many times, my Father (Mr. Ashley) served in the U.S. Army, and my Brother (James above) served 28 years in the U.S. Air Force and completed one tour of duty in Vietnam. (My brother James also did secret work for the U.S. Secret Service and, he also, by the way, worked for the city of New York….)

Did I ever tell my readers that my Brother James (pictured above) owned a pure bred “Beagle” ? My Brother James’ Beagle was the same type of dog that President Johnson owned and my brother James gave his Beagle to my Mother (Lady Irma/Erma). My brother was headed “back overseas” (with the Air Force) and had to leave the Beagle at my Mother Irma/Erma’s mini-mansion (in St. Louis Missouri). It was the same year that President Johnson had his Beagle (in the year 1965). However, my Brother’s Beagle (named “Champ”) unfortunately, met the same fate as one other Presidential pup. Champ, like Clinton’s “Buddy” met his four-legged demise when he jumped the fence and dashed out in front of an oncoming car….I, didn’t witness this though….(sad story don’t LOL)…
