Attn Kristen Bell: Sloths Aplenty on PBS & the New Photo Book ‘Slothlove’

Wildlife conservationist and photographer Sam Trull’s world changed forever when she gave up her comfortable life in the United States for the wilds of Costa Rica.

After almost 20 years of working with animals, one creature in particular had captured her heart: the sloth.

Coinciding with Earth Day 2016 (Apr. 19th), Sam shares intimate portraits of these endearing animals in her photo Book, “Slothlove.”

Sam is able to teach us about Sloths from her unique perspective as their protector, adopted mother, and friend.

The book contains heart-melting, aww-inducing photos of baby and adult sloths hanging from trees, wrapped in towels, hugging teddy bears, sleeping, eating, lying in hammocks, sitting in cups, and seeming to smile.

You would be hard-pressed to find a cuter creature on earth, and Trull’s photos show her love for them in every shot.

Of course, there’s also text in the book that will give you some basic facts about sloths, as well as information about Trull’s work with them.

Primarily, however, “Slothlove” is about the photographs.

Back in 2014, Sam made scientific history by performing the first ever sloth C-section. The news was covered by major media in the U.S. and U.K.

In Sept. 2015, Sam and her sloths were featured as a main episode of the BBC One series “Nature’s Miracle Orphans,” which aired on PBS stations around the U.S.

She’ll be featured on another BBC One “Nature’s Miracle Orphans” Sun., Feb. 14, 2016. Set your DVR, and pre-order the book for yourself and your favorite sloth lover.
