Marineford
Marineford is the former
Headquarters of the marines where most exciting scenes happened. It is near the Sabaody Archipelago and Redline where Mariejois is located. The headquarters is the home of the Fleet Admiral, Admirals, and some lower rank marine officers and their families. It is one of the three great government facility alongside with the Impel Down and Enies Lobby.

Shiki's Attack on Marineford - Golden Lion Shiki, a major figure at the time of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger, was very furious because of news that the Pirate King was captured by the marines. His refusal led him to attack the marine headquarters then later faced by the two formidable marines, The Buddha Sengoku and The Hero Monkey D. Garp. The fight destroyed half of the island and caused many injuries. The fight was concluded when Shiki was defeated and sent to Impel Down.
Battle of Marineford: Defending against Whitebeard - Portgas D. Ace was defeated and captured by Blackbeard and used as a key to become a Royal Warlord. Ace was sentenced to death by the World Government this made the king of the sea angry according to Garp (Episode 412) which he was referring to Whitebeard. The war was full of powerful clashes. The war resulted to the death of two key figures: Whitebeard Edward Newgate and Fire Fist Portgas D. Ace.
