is the loving adoptive sister/mother of Luffy. She is always shown supporting Luffy in his dreams, she even made a treasure box to lure Luffy to eat. She is a bartender at a bar in Foosha Village. She is kind and close with Shanks though their relationship is not yet stated. 

Makino's appearance specifically her hair is different from the manga (black) and anime (green). She always wear a kerchief on her head. 

On the mini series From the Decks of the World Vol. 2 she is holding a child. Oda said that Makino is the mother of the child but Oda did not tell the father only stating "probably that person"
