Why did Buggy become a Warlord???
Many of you might say "Why the f*** Buggy become a warlord??" or "He is super weak he's not worthy of the title!" and many more. Okay! Now Oda loves to surprise us, you have reached this far watching and reading One Piece so expect the unexpected! that's how we all loved this masterpiece.

There are two main reasons that i want to share to you why Buggy become a Warlord
1 The Impel Down Break Out and War of the Best
After the war of the best Buggy received a letter from the world government inviting him to be part of the royal warlord system in which he accepted. So, why these two events the key for him to become a warlord.
- Many escapees from the great prison Impel Down view him as their savior who have descended from the heavens above. The escapees love Buggy but they even treated him as a god when a marine broadcast told his past including being part of the Pirate King's crew and sworn brother of one of the new world emperors which is Shanks.
- During the War of the Best at marineford Buggy has many followers who joined him by accepting the deal with Whitebeard. His followers are strong and came from level 1 to level 5 and to see how powerful Buggy have become let's use a power level using Impel Down's metrics Mr. 2 Bon Kurei was in Level 3 and Mr. 1 Daz Bones was in Level 4. Now, imagine that Buggy has now a crew of hundreds of Mr. 2 and Mr. 1 plus escapees from level 5 surely the world government will have to take action.
2 The world government only wanted to suppress the actions of the Impel Down escapees
After the war at marineford a marine officer reported to the (former) fleet admiral Sengoku about what happened in the great prison Impel Down. Sengoku became furious to the world government because they wanted the break out issue to be put in silence he even wanted to release the bounties for the Level 6 prisoners but it was not granted because of the orders from the higher ups. So is this related to Buggy??Yes!
- Buggy now holds most of the prisoners that follows him like a some sort of a god. The world government wanted to suppress or hunt them but it would take too much resources if they hunt them one by one. So, by making Buggy a warlord they have now a sort of control over the prisoners through Buggy. The government are hitting two birds with one stone because they can keep the break out issue in silence while monitoring and suppressing the actions of the prisoners.
