David Hasselhoff has claimed he has less than $4,000 to his name.
However, David filed legal documents last month (Apr16) to reduce this amount and now TMZ.com have revealed details of his reasoning behind requesting to cut the payments.
According to the website, the former Knight Rider star grosses $112,000 (£76,845) a month, but spends $66,000 (£45,283). When Bach's spousal support is taken out of that, as well as having to pay his taxes and other bills, Hasselhoff is said to have told the court he is able to save virtually nothing.
The documents detail that Hasselhoff's European tour was cut short due to poor ticket sales, and his reality show Hoff the Record is unlikely to be as successful as he originally hoped.
The actor, who can next be seen in the movie adaptation of his hit TV show Baywatch, stated that he has $1.79 million (£1.22 million) in real estate, cars, jewellery, art and retirement savings, but that his cash is running short.
However, Bach has alleged that Hasselhoff is not telling the truth, and he is worth more than $120 million (£82 million). She also said he continues to be overwhelmed with work opportunities, as well as owning property worldwide.
The former couple will debate their issues in a court hearing at the end of the month (May16).
Since his 2006 split from Bach, Hasselhoff has found love with Welsh beauty Hayley Roberts, with the pair getting engaged earlier this month. (SVB/WNWCZM/DMC)
