The Kardashians kicked off the celebration in Valentino’s castle in Château deWideville in France on May 23 with Andre Leon Talley and Gian Carlo. Valentino toasted the couple in English saying, “I would love to toast these two beautiful people here before me,” and continued in the Italian language, “And I wish you much success, a lot of love, and a long life.”The mom-ager Kris Jenner and the Kardashian sisters were all in their stunning Valentino outfits. None of them resisted the urge to take selfies and group pictures on Valentino’s beautiful garden as they posted all of these on instagram for the world to see. The rehearsal slash pre-nuptial dinner that followed happened at the historic Palace of Versailles. Kanye West surprised Kim Kardashian and their guests with a performance from Lana Del Ray and the magician, David Blaine. Later on, Kim Kardashian went out and took pictures under the Eiffel tower with a group of her closest friends and her sisters. Kourtney Kardashian, the bride’s eldest sister, was a no show at the girls’ night out.
The city of Paris has a special place in the hearts of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West as it is where they conceived their daughter, North “Nori” West.
The I-dos happened on Saturday night with guests who were dearest to the couple including Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner who walked Kim down the aisle, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, Kendall Jenner,Kylie Jenner, Monica Rose, Robin Antin, Jonathan Cheban, Simon Huck, Rachel Roy, LaLa Anthony, Brittny Gastineau, Jaden Smith, 12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen, Q-TipRay Romulus,John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, and baby North West. Surprisingly, Jay-Z and Beyonce, two of West's closest friends were a no show at the wedding ceremony.
Rumors point to Rachel Roy’s attendance and the controversy that links her to Jay-Z. Despite Mr. and Mrs. Carter’s absence, the ceremony maintained its magnificence as the guests all enjoyed Andrea Bocelli’s serenade, the scenery of the Fort di Belvedere, the traditional Tuscan cuisine served during the reception, and the grandeur of the 7-tier cake crafted by the talented Galeto.
This is the third marriage – and hopefully the last one -- for Kim Kardashian who is 33 years old now, and the first for the 36 year old artist, Kanye West, whose songs have never ceased to hit the charts.
