FBI agents have arrested a Newark cop on accusations he gave Drugs to and had sex with minors, as well as paying minors to have sex with each other.

Agents arrested 42-year-old Michael Lalley, a sergeant in the Newark Police Department, at his residence in Jackson.

He is facing a federal charge of obstruction of justice.

According to the criminal complaint, Lalley has been employed by the Newark Police Department (NPD) in various capacities since 1990. The FBI was investigating allegations of police corruption, narcotics activity and sex offenses involving Lalley and others.

Michael Lalley is accused of supplying minors with drugs and paying to have sex with them. He also encouraged the minors to have sex with each other. Some of this activity actually took place at the police station where he works. He is also accused of telling his victims to lie about the Illegal activity.

This guy was a sergeant. So you can see how high up the chain the illegal activity goes. Another cause for concern is the fact that some of his illegal sexual conquests took place at the station which leads one to wonder were there any other cops who also took part in the sexual hijinks. Just because he is the only one who got caught doesn’t mean that there weren’t other cops doing the same thing he was doing. Kind of sounds like what they say about criminals doesn’t it. He also supplied these minors with drugs which means that a Newark police sergeant was in possession of illegal drugs. And when he gave these drugs to those kids he became in effect a drug dealer since he was basically exchanging drugs for sex which is a deal.
