The Crazies, a remake of the 1973 Film where a toxic spill poisons a towns water supply turning them into a race of murderous hooligans. I wasn't sure what to expect when going to see this film, in fact I was wasn't overly sure on how successful it would be in entertaining me. Once I was walking out though I thought to myself that was better than I'd anticipated.
If you've never seen the original I think you'd get a lot more out of the start of the film as you don't know what's going to happen and everything is much more of a surprise. If, on the other hand, you know the story your sat just waiting for the change to happen. Timothy Olyphant plays a very convincing and heroic Sheriff and is definitely experienced in firing a gun after his appearance in Hitman.(2007).
Overall this film is just good fun to watch, and despite there being many others like it, the shocks are well delivered and has a comfortable running time. I would recommend this film more if you haven't seen the original and if you have and don't mind the wait, then it's worth the watch.
