Robert Downey Jr Says Marvel Has No Plans For More "Iron Man" Movies No More solo "Iron Man" movies Robert Downey Jr recently spoke to Variety while promoting his new film "The Judge". In the interview, he revealed that Marvel has no plans for a fourth Iron Man Movie. He stated, "There isn't one in the pipe. No, there's no plan for a fourth Iron Man."  Variety asked if he would let someone else take over the mantle of Iron Man. "I like that the idea is that it would be up to me, like I'm casting director for Marvel." Downey Jr. is contracted for at least two more sequels however, which include the May 2015 release of The Avengers: Age of Ultron and the third Avengers movie - thought to be due in 2018. We hope Marvel will find a way to release at least one more solo Iron Man movie to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
