Fox gives The X-Files (2016) a January premiere date
The X-Files news just keeps getting better and better. Fox has announced a premiere date for the 2016 Revival of The X-Files and it's a big one. The X-Files (2016) will premiere Sunday January 24th immediately following the Nfc Championship Game. The 2nd episode will air the next night making it a two night premiere.
The X-Files originally began airing on FOX on Friday nights before moving to Sunday nights as the show became a pop culture phenomenon. Previously, FOX aired an episode of The X-Files after their Super Bowl broadcast, bringing tens of millions of viewers to the already popular show.
To help you get ready The X-Files: Season 10 comic book series (check out The X-Files: Season 10, Volume 1 on Amazon), released by IDW Publishing and written by Joe Harris and executive produced by The X-Files creator Chris Carter, has taken The X-Files story even further with it's successful canonical story.
The X-Files (2016) will have a two night premiere following the Sunday January 24, 2016 NFC Championship Game and continuing Monday January 25, 2016. The following 4 episodes of the limited run series will air at 9pm on Mondays temporarily replacing Gotham.
