Self Destruction: Good for poetry. Bad for reality.

You can keep punching a brick wall with your bare fists until you don't feel it anymore, but that doesn't mean you should do it. It might make for some good poetry brainstorming, except that it'll be hard to write or type anything afterward.

please hurt me

give it to me
stab me
set me on fire
i need it. it's the only thing i feel now
it's the only way i know i'm still alive

don't worry, i won't bleed
there's nothing in there
nothing left anymore
it all got lost somewhere along the way
along the way to wherever this is

it's pretty empty around here, too
and it's quiet
not a whisper
not even the sound of my own breath
just me, just me and the pain
