Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh says his co-star Bipasha Basu is not just eye candy in the upcoming thriller Aa Dekhen Zara , but is pivotal to the plot.
How many times have we seen leading ladies being reduced to glam dolls in movies? But that is certainly not the case with Bipasha’s role in director Jehangir Surti’s ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’.
“She is not just any other leading lady in a romantic thriller. Bipasha is a huge part of 'Aa Dekhen Zara'. In fact, I can go on to state that she is 'the story' of the film. This character of Ray Acharya that I play in the film would not have decided to do anything in life if not for her,” Neil is quoted by IANS.
The movie has Neil playing a struggling photographer and Bipasha a DJ.
Speaking about his character in the film, Neil said: "Since I can't reveal much about the film's plot, all I can say is that whatever steps he takes in his intriguing journey of life, he does it for her (Bipasha).”
In fact, Neil is all praise for Bipasha’s performance in the last year’s action thriller Race .
"She was mind blowing in the film. Actually, she was the best part about 'Race'. You could see that she was so pivotal to the film's narrative. Same is the case in 'Aa Dekhen Zara' as well", Neil is quoted as saying.
The movie is set for release on March 27.
