Today we finally received news when the next main line entry into the Gears of War franchise will launch (sorry Judgement). Gears of War 4, and no it wont be ‘Gears 4′ or ‘GE4RS OF WAR’, will be released worldwide as an Xbox One title on October 11th, 2016.

I am actually excited to play this title as I skipped judgement – it just didn’t do it for me if I remember correctly.

We also received the cover art via Entertainment Weekly today, which can be seen below. Gears of War 4 Takes Place 25 years after the first 3 games and you will play as Marcus Fenix’s son JD Fenix. There will be new enemies, new mechanics and two moons which will accompany players over one night in the woods, which is when the game takes place.
