When XCOM 2 released, it was praised for having the same difficult gameplay that has been a staple of the series. But the initial release was poorly optimized, leaving fans wanting more.
2K has announced that the first Patch is now available to download and install. This patch includes “new fixes, balance tweaks, and several performance optimizations in the game that should improve frame rates and in-game delays overall.”

The press release goes onto say that, “The XCOM team has been working hard to improve performance, balance, and stability issues reported by our fans and will continue to improve the XCOM 2 experience with additional updates and patches over the coming months.” So be on the lookout for more patches in the coming future.
