The audio of Ajith's Aasal was launched at 'Anna Illam', house of the legendary Sivaji Ganesan. The audio was launched by Prabhu, one of the producers, and was received by Ajith.

Ajith was sporting a new look as he had taken off his Aasal moustache and came to the function along with wife Shalini.

The others present at the occasion were producers Ramkumar, director Saran, music director Bhardwaj, Dushyant and Vikram the producer's sons who were looking after the production.

Ajith said: "A good film needs no publicity. I don't want to talk about a film which is still under production.

Aasal has great title value, right from the title everything is god send. Believe me when I say I don't like narcissism in my films. Sameera, Bhavana, Suresh all have equal footing. As far as music is concerned it is the best so far."
Ajith's favourite is Engey Engey... sung by SPB. "Actually the song written by Vairamuthu is close to my heart as it reminded me of the stabs I had Received on my back from one time friends in real life and in cinema. The song has lot of similarity to what happened to me in my life."
