Die actor Max Wright, dad in the ALF series, Willy Tanner

The veteran actor Max Wright better known as the dad of the series ALF, Willy Tanner, died Wednesday after fighting cancer. He was 75.

Relatives of the actor told TMZ that Wright died at his home in Hermosa Beach, California, just outside of Los Angeles. He was diagnosed with lymphoma in 1995, but had been in remission for a long time, the website reported.

The TV star played the role of Willy Tanner in the famous series of the 80s, ALF the Extraterrestrial, which lasted four seasons, from 1986 to 1990.

Max Wright was also known for his work in the series “Cheers”, “Buffalo Bill” “Norm” and “Misfits of Science”. He is survived by two children. His wife Linda Ybarrondo died in 2017 of breast cancer. RIP.
