Priyanka Chopra is "Global Scam Artist" Out to Ruin Nick Jonas, Someone Actually Writes

Some people just don't want to see Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas live happily ever after.

The stars have only been married for a few days, yet they've already faced criticism from PETA for their supposed abuse of horses -- and now Chopra has been torn to shreds by New York Magazine's The Cut.

In an article that has since been deleted (for pure stupidity and cruelty, we hope), a so-called journalist claims that Jonas was hurled into this union "against his will."

It goes on to tear into Chopra as a total nobody who Jonas basically just wanted to f-ck and then... well... he somehow ended up as her husband.

And he's gonna regret it big time, apparently.

"At times, marriage can be a beautifully wonderful union that warms even the coldest of hearts, but sadly, this union evokes no such feeling," the post reads, according to screenshots captured and published online (below).

It continues:

"All Nick wanted was a possible fling with Hollywood's latest It Woman, but instead he wound up staring straight at a life sentence with a global scam artist."

Chopra and Jonas actually got married in two ceremonies last Saturday; one traditional Western and one traditional Hindu.

Jonas rode a horse for the latter, and the author was probably very proud of himself for penning the following turn of phrase based on the riding of this animal:

"Nick, if you're reading this, find that horse and gallop away as fast you can!" the article concluded.

The piece - titled Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas's Love for Real? - examined Nick and Priyanka's past romances and noted that Nick, 25, always had an "interest in older women."

Priyanka is 11 years Nick's senior.

That was basically the entirety of the "facts" or "proof" or "research" this writer used to write such scathing things about the newlyweds.

And neither Sophie Turner nor Joe Jonas were about to let it pass by without comment.

"This is disgusting. @TheCut should be ashamed to have someone write such evil words," Joe tweeted, referencing Ariana Grande's latest song and adding:

"What Nick & Pri have is Beautiful Love. Thank u, Next."

Added Turner, Joe's fiancée and one of Chopra's bridesmaids:

"This is wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. Very disappointed that The Cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bulls--t."

There was plenty of backlash all around to the article, which prompted The Cut to issue the following statement:

"An earlier story about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas did not meet our standards. We've removed it and apologize."

All that remains at the story's URL now is an editor's note that echoes this sentiment:

"Upon further editorial review, we found this story did not meet our standards. We've removed it and apologize."

Internet users have jumped online to slam basically every single word as sexist, racist and ageist.

Neither of the newlyweds has responded to it yet (hopefully because they are off having amazing honeymoon sex), but plenty of folks out there have their back.

"The sexism, racism & xenophobia really jumped out lol," Tweeted one individual.

"You're so mad that a deserving Indian woman found someone who values her worth. The one time a South Asian woman is thriving in Hollywood after working so hard, she gets called a scammer.

"I hope you do some soul-searching."

We'd ask whether you are on Team The Cut here or on Team Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas...

... but is that really a question?!?
