Amy Schumer: Is the Alt-Right Trying to Destroy Her Career?!

We're not sure what it is, but there's just something about Amy Schumer that brings out the haters.

Maybe it's that she's so successful, or maybe it's that she's not the size of your typical starlet. Maybe it's that she's smart, funny, driven, powerful, etc.

Or hey, maybe you're just not into her specific brand of humor, that's cool too.

But for these alt-right losers we're about to talk about, we're pretty sure the issue is all that other stuff.

See, Amy's new comedy special just debuted on Netflix last week, and it's supposed to be really good -- if you listen to critics.

If you check out user reviews on Netflix however, that's a different story.

A bunch of poor conservative souls got together on Reddit with one mission: to bring the rating of Amy's special down to one star.

"That disgusting cow's career needs to be ended," one jackass Wrote. "One one star review at a time."

Another said "I cancelled my Notflix account of 8 years the day they announced that new racist show."

"Notflix." We're dealing with the kind of people who would actually try to say "Notflix."

The issue, apparently, is that Amy is a loud and proud liberal. She was a big Hillary Clinton supporter, and she's been very outspoken about her feelings for Donald Trump and various issues that his followers hold dear.

All the work Amy has done in attempt to bring an end to gun violence is enough to make these kinds of trolls lose their minds -- or whatever it is they have in place of minds.

But while a bunch of goons are trying to bring Amy down, she's not worried about it. And she said as much in a particularly wonderful Instagram post.

"I am so proud of my special," she wrote, "and grateful to all the people spreading love online about it. I'm the first female comic who is selling out arenas all over the world and so grateful for that."

She wrote that she was "embarrassed" for those who have reported on the Netflix reviews "as if it's news," but she acknowledged that that kind of thing is "indicative of administration right now."

"Anyone who reported that 'viewers aren't happy' with my special, it would have been cool if you did a moment of research before posting," she said.

"The alt right organized trolls attack everything I do."

Amy wrote that these people "organize to get my ratings down," and that "they tried on my book and movies and tv show."

"And I want to thank them," she wrote. "It makes me feel so powerful and dangerous and brave. It reminds me what I'm saying is effective and brings more interest to my work and their obsession with me keeps me going."

"Call me a whale. Call me a thief and I will continue to rise and right and lead."

"I know who I am," she continued. "I am strong and beautiful and will use my voice my whole time on this earth."

"Trolls see you on the next one!"

Can you start a Slow Clap on the internet? Because it really feels like this deserves a slow clap.

Thank you for this, Amy, and for all that you do.
