Colin (Tristan Rogers) pulls off the impossible and retrieves Jill’s (Jess Walton) Ring, so you have to give him a point for that. However, what he's done after giving her the emerald is so sickening any good karma is out the window.
It’s a series of unfortunate events that will end with Colin back where he belongs — out in the cold! After giving Jill back what’s sure to become her prized possession, he just can’t stop from opening his big mouth. Now that Jill’s touched the ring and has come to terms with what it represents, he thinks she should sell it! That’s right, SELL IT. Colin saw all the zeroes on the check, and he’s sure they can get even more than that! If Jill sells the jewel, she can not only put her bank account back to where it was but also have enough money to buy out Jack! All the ring represents is a memory, and they need that money now to make their life right again.
Unfortunately, those are fighting words to Jill. Phillip was the one man she loved more than anyone else in the world, and there’s no way she’s ever getting rid of her ring. Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) kept it from her for way too long but by a miracle, she has it now. The ring is where it belongs and will never leave her finger. In the last few months, Abby (Melissa Ordway) has become a rising star at Newman Enterprises. She’s a big deal now and holds her father’s high esteem. In fact, Abby’s such a natural even Victor (Eric Braeden) has to admit she’s surprising him left, right, and center. Sadly, her reign as Daddy’s right hand could be coming to an end when she mucks up a business deal!
While this isn’t the first of Abby’s mistakes, it’s one that’s irreparable. Victor’s set to lose millions, if not billions, over this deal going sideways! Sadly, Victor trusted her to take care of things before she was ready to handle rejection. Now, she’s in over her head and starting to panic.
It seems her time at the top could come to an end the second she walks into Victor’s office — or at least that’s the way she sees it. She’s hiding out and hoping the storm will pass before she faces her dad and trying to come up with a reason why he should continue to keep her around.
Poor Abby really thought she was something special in the business game so this is quite the blow to her ego. However, the worst may come when she gets put out of the company, just like her brothers and sister before her. It’ll be a miracle if Victor keeps her around after this massive screw up.
