Jack arrives at the Chancellor estate to see Jill…and gives her a jack-in-the-box. Esther warns him not to mention the ‘C’ word…Colin. Jack and Jill exchange pleasantries and he reveals he knows Colin stole her money. He thinks Colin should be locked up, but also believes he wants to set things right. Jill wonders how she went so far wrong with men, and warns Jack that she intends to hold him to the offer he made. Jack calms her down and tells her he looks forward to her marching in with a check and buying Fenmore’s from him. After, Jill plays with her new toy. Esther badgers Jill about eating and they discuss stocks. Jill fusses about being broke. Esther says Mrs. C wouldn’t want her to give up. Colin arrives; unaware Jill has been released from hospital. She learns he’s staying at Lily and Cane’s house and Esther reveals that she can’t help Colin out with his things because Billy donated them to charity! Esther exits, and they rehash Colin stealing Jill’s money, and his desire to earn her respect, which he lost along with her fortune. Later, Jill rants at Esther for letting Billy remove Colin’s things and asks to be alone. She turns to Katherine’s portrait. “What are you looking at?” She muses about Colin and says she won’t take him back. Jill promises Kay she will finish what she started.

Phyllis finds Lauren freaking out about Scott at home after a phone call. She explains the situation – her gut tells her he is being held against his will or worse. “I don’t even know if my son’s alive.” Phyllis wants to take her to the Club to eat, but Lauren can’t leave in case Scott calls. Phyllis leaves and returns with food. Lauren cries about being brave. Phyllis distracts her with the Fenmore’s app. Lauren tells Phyllis she doesn’t need to baby-sit her, so she leaves. Once alone, Lauren receives a call from someone who says he has her son, Scott Grainger. “Ten million dollars or he dies.”

Gloria is gleefully doing her job at Jabot when Michael appears to see Jack. She says he’s not in yet – keeping track of his schedule isn’t one of her official responsibilities. Michael wonders what unofficial responsibilities she has, and Glo looks coy. Michael is there to go over the Fenmore’s deal, but won’t elaborate. Gloria is upset he is shutting her out. Michael is chagrined that she continues to insist her job there is legitimate. He guesses she’s blackmailing him, though he figured she’d hold out for a better payback than playing receptionist. Jack arrives and takes Michael into his office, where he reveals that he is filling in for Lauren, whose son, Scott, is missing. Jack, in turn, tells Michael that Jill had a heart attack, and realizes they didn’t know she was after his Fenmore’s shares. Michael leaves and will tell Lauren that Scott is in Jack’s thoughts and prayers. Outside, he accuses Glo of eavesdropping. After, Gloria grills Jack about what’s going on. She brings up their two nights together, so Jack caves and tells her about Scott. Gloria remarks on his stress level and rubs his shoulders. Jack protests but then groans in pleasure. Outside the door, Michael appears and looks in.

Noah finds Sharon at Crimson Lights and questions her decision to change jobs before revealing he and Marisa broke up, as she wanted to relocate to Spain. Noah muses that he sees people having fun at The Underground without a serious relationship and feels he’s missing out. Talk turns to Dylan. Noah says Nikki told him he had to leave and didn’t have a choice. “What did she mean by that?” Sharon confides that Dylan left to protect her by going into the Witness Protection Program. Noah complains about the impact on her, but Sharon defends him. She explains why she can’t tell Mariah and Faith. Noah assures her she can trust him with the secret. They toast to moving on and joke about being single.

At the park, Colin encounters a homeless man wearing his cashmere coat. They chat. Colin tells the man he’s homeless too and says he can keep the coat.

Ravi tells Phyllis that they have an enormous, horrible, awful problem.

Lauren says to Paul, “We’re going to pay the ransom. We have no other choice.”

Michael rants to Jack, “It would have been less bizarre to see Victor Newman here taking dictation in a pencil skirt. What are your intentions with my mother?!”
