‘Blade’ getting 4K UHD BluRay release

For the first time ever, 1998’s Marvel movie Blade is coming to 4K Ultra HD BluRay from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on December 1st, 2020.

Blade is a 1998 American superhero horror film directed by Stephen Norrington and written by David S. Goyer. Based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. The film stars Wesley Snipes in the title role with Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson and N’Bushe Wright. In the film, Blade is a Dhampir, a human with vampire strengths but not their weaknesses, who together with his mentor Abraham Whistler and haematologist Karen Jenson, fights against vampires, namely the exceptionally vicious Deacon Frost.

Blade will be available on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack for $24.99 ERP and includes an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc with the feature film in 4K with HDR and a Blu-ray disc with the feature film and special features. You’ll also be able to own Blade in 4K Ultra HD via purchase from select digital retailers beginning on December 1st.

Dolby Atmos soundtracks are also fully backward compatible with traditional audio configurations and legacy home entertainment equipment.”
