At DC FanDome, WB Montreal revealed the first gameplay footage from its newly revealed Gotham Knights focusing on Batgirl taking on Mister Freeze.

Batman is dead. It is now up to the Batman Family – Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin – to protect Gotham City, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. You must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save Gotham from chaos.

The gameplay footage shows Batgirl riding a bat-cycle towards Mister Freeze’s fortress. When she arrives, she’s joined by Robin which hints at potential drop-in/drop-out co-op.

While in combat, two players can seemingly take on a level at once. It’s unclear how many players can enter a co-op session at once.

The gameplay demo ends with a boss fight against Mister Freeze with both players fighting the icy villain at once.

The Court of Owls also made only a brief appearance in the lengthy trailer for the new game.

We saw a look at a sinister setup orchestrated by the Court of Owls where countless caskets were suspended in the air.

No release date details as of yet – we can expect the game later next year.
