Prime Picks

The Simpsons (FOX): New. Grandpa finds out what everyone has been talking about after he gets a hearing aid.
Ghosted (FOX): New. Leroy and Max have to go undercover at an elite country club to investigate something strange going on there.

NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS): New. The LAPD needs Deeks’ help finding his old partner who seems to have gone rogue.

Madam Secretary (CBS): New. Elizabeth does whatever she can to keep a conference on human trafficking from being derailed by actions of a U.S. ambassador.

Solid Selections

Wisdom of the Crowd (CBS): New. Cavanaugh comes for help from the Sophe team to track down who is behind a deadly online game that is targeting teens.

Food Paradise (Travel): New. Places serving the best appetizers around the U.S. are profiled. Another new episode plays right before. Both Play again later. Five episodes replay right before.

Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO): New. ???. Starts 12 minutes after the hour and runs 34 minutes. Plays again later two times.
White Famous (Showtime): New. Trevor is acting up at school and Floyd ends up in trouble, as Sadie worries about his enrollment. Starts two minutes after the hour and runs 28 minutes. Plays again later two times.

Other Options

  • The Deuce (HBO2): Repeat. Last Sunday night’s first season finale episode, “My Name Is Ruby,” replays. Runs 75 minutes.
  • Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus (MoMAX): Repeat. This past Friday night’s episode, “Waylon Jennings Part 2,” replays. Runs 30 minutes.
  • SMILF (Showtime): Series Premiere. This series created, directed, produced and written by Frankie Shaw (Mr. Robot) tells the semi-autobiographical tale of a single mother in Boston trying to navigate between what her life used to be and what it is now. Runs 32 minutes. Plays again later two times. I really like Frankie Shaw and I like these types of shows where someone talented is given the reigns to create something different, like an Atlanta or Master of None. Yet, this first episode didn’t really grab me or really get me interested in following her story. But, I’ve heard from some that had a chance to watch more than just the first episode that you really need to see the next one or two to see what the show really is, so will probably give it another couple episodes.

Sports Notes

  • CBS has NFL action today.
  • FOX has NFL action today.
  • NBC has Sunday Night Football NFL action with the Oakland Raiders at the Miami Dolphins.
