Friday TV: Grimm S.6 Premiere, Sleepy Hollow S.4 Premiere, Emerald City Series Premiere & More

Tonight, FOX has Rosewood on its new night and the fourth season premiere of Sleepy Hollow and NBC has the sixth season premiere of Grimm and the series premiere of Emerald City.

Over on cable, Discovery Channel has a Gold Rush special, Food Network has the series premiere of Ginormous Food and the 26th season premiere of Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.

On streaming as of this morning, Amazon drops The Grand Tour S.1 Ep.9 and Netflix drops the complete third season of Degrassi: Next Class, the complete first season of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan & Jane and the complete first season of One Day at a Time, which I quite enjoyed the first episode and plan on checking out more.

Next week, Amazon drops the complete first season of Sneaky Pete and Netflix drops the complete first season of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Prime Picks

Grimm (NBC): Season Premiere. Capt. Renard issues a shoot-to-kill order for Nick. Monroe and Rosalee think about leaving Portland.

Emerald City (NBC): Series Premiere. Dorothy gets swept away by a tornado while looking for her mom and ends up in a mystical land in this reimagining of The Wizard of Oz. Runs two hours.

Rosewood (FOX): New. Rosewood, Villa and Slade end up in the middle of a hostage situation at the station.

Sleepy Hollow (FOX): Season Premiere. Ichabod and Jenny continue to deal with the loss of Abbie, while he searches for the next Witness while on a new mission in Washington, D.C.

Blue Bloods (CBS): New. Jamie and Eddie get mixed up in a messy adoption case, so they go to Erin for some help. Frank deals with a potential cadet cheating scandal. Danny finds out that Jack wants to join the Marines.

Other Options

  • Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (The CW): New. Two episodes play tonight. In the first, Rebecca takes the opportunity to fix things with Paula and babysits Tommy. Josh re-evaluates things. In the second, When Darryl decides to sell the firm and the new owner starts talking about laying people off. Rebecca, tries to save everyone’s jobs by any means necessary.
  • Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives (Food Network): Season Premiere. Guy attempts to “Belly Up to Barcelona.” Runs 30 minutes. Plays again later.
  • Hawaii Five-0 (CBS): New. The team attempts to save Chin after he is abducted by a Mexican cartel.
