The new Ready Player One poster takes us right back to the 80s

It’s not long now until Steven Spielberg takes us for an adventure in the OASIS, and alongside the newly released trailer for Ready Player One, we have also got a brand new 1980’s style poster.

Based on the novel by Ernest Cline, Ready Player One follows the story of Wade Watts. It is set in 2045, with the world on the brink of chaos and collapse. When James Halliday, creator of the Virtual Reality world called the OASIS dies, he leaves behind an Easter Egg for only one of the players to win, but with billions of dollars and control of the OASIS on the line if they find it, the search for the egg quickly turns into a war.

This Poster is already more popular than the ‘infamous’ first that released with the huge design flaw, which saw Wade’s leg seem unbelievably long. That poster was subject to many funny remakes created by fans. The criticism didn’t see the poster taken away however, because it has now been made the official cover of the book.
