Riteish Deshmukh, Adnan Sami and Celina Jaitly send their condolences

Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-serving monarch, has died aged 96 in Scotland after reigning for 70 years. In a statement, Buckingham Palace confirmed the news that the Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. All of her children had traveled to Balmoral after doctors placed the Queen under medical supervision. Condolences are pouring in from around the world to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Bollywood celebrities such as Riteish Deskhmukh, Celina Jaitly, Adnan Sami and others have also expressed their sadness over his passing. “Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Her legacy as only a woman is enough to bring a strange sadness to the heart. 15 prime ministers, during her 70 year reign as British monarch. Riteish Deshmukh wrote: “End of an era!! In the most difficult times she never gave up her dignity. Today is indeed a sad day, condolences to the family and the British people.” Adnan Sami also tweeted to mourn the passing of the Queen of the UK.

Queen Elizabeth II’s reign spanned 15 prime ministers, starting with Winston Churchill, born in 1874, and including Liz Truss, born 101 years later in 1975, and named by the Queen earlier this week, the BBC reported . She held weekly audiences with her prime minister throughout her reign. The Queen was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, in Mayfair, London, on April 21, 1926.
