Tiger Shroff says to cut fees by 50% after Heroanti 2 debacle [Read Report]

Like many stars, Tiger Shroff has also suffered a career setback in the pandemic. His last film, Heropanti 2 was a complete disaster. The film was rejected by critics and the masses. Tiger Shroff had increased his fees before the pandemic after the success of WAR and other films. According to Bollywood Hungama, he signed Ganapath charging Rs 35 crores and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan for a whopping Rs 45 crores. His film with Karan Johar Screw Dheela also had Rs 35 crores as fees. Well, that’s certainly a high amount, but then Tiger Shroff was considered a bankable star with fans loving his action scenes and dancing skills.

Bollywood Hungama has reported that producers have asked Tiger Shroff to cut his fees by 50% and charge Rs 17-20 crore per film. As we know, Bollywood is facing a recession. Plus, there’s the #BoycottBollywood trend on social media, which negatively affects movies. The portal reported that the producers felt it was foolish to pay Tiger Shroff such a high fee. It seems that he understood and decided to reduce his fees to Rs 25 crores. A business source told Bollywood Hungama that even Akshay Kumar and Ali Abbas Zafar have cut their fees. Tiger Shroff backs producers Jackky and Vashu Bhagnani for the film. The business source reportedly said, “The signing process for films has slowed down as most producers are not in line with the amount he is asking for.”

The source said other manufacturers are also negotiating fees with Tiger Shroff. It normally charges Rs 17 to 22 crores. He said he only needed one shot to bounce back in the industry. He was quoted as saying, “One hit and Tiger will roar again. It’s only a matter of time before the industry realizes only ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.” He said things would return to normal when the movies started running. Everyone in Bollywood is facing recession and slack.
