Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur’s teaser was unveiled at a grand event in Mumbai on 13^th October. The biographical drama directed by Meghna Gulzar will release on 1^st December. For the uninitiated, Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer is also releasing on the same day. At the teaser launch event, Vicky Kaushal commented on Sam Bahadur clash with Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal.

Sharing his thought, Vicky said, “I think that Friday we both are gonna hand our films to the audience. That Friday is going to be audience day more than our day. I think like in today’s time we as an industry should give the options of multiple films on the same day to the audience. That’s how we are going to flourish as an industry. We have those many weeks in a year, but as an industry we can’t limit ourselves to making those many films in a year. We have to make multiple films and we will have multiple releases on the same day.”

He further added, “And we got to build an atmosphere where multiple films work together. We have that strength in the audience, we have it on exhibitor level, so why not. And we need to push that envelop also. With today’s given scenario, if both the films are good, both can work. So I am like as excited for Animal as everybody else and I think as long as it’s a great day for the audiences, we work with the, not for each other.”

Producer Ronnie Screwvala also seconded his thoughts and stated, “Two things on the clash, on 1.12.22, we had announced our release date, which means a year back. Second, I think for everyone here, in films we always talk about clashes because you don’t look that in real life. Clash is not about anything else, actually audiences come out more, they like multiplicity of choice, suddenly when there is a tv screen and promotion are very active in that particular season, you go out there. It’s a very small way to look at scenario as films are clashing. Its in whole world out there.”

For those unversed, Vicky has worked with Ranbir earlier in 2018 in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju which emerged as an all time top grosser. The film also helped Vicky getting recognition.
