Rajpal Yadav is one of the most popular and talented actors in Bollywood. Over the years, he has appeared in Chup Chup Ke, Hungama, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Phir Hera Pheri among others. In the new episode of Let’s Talk With Bollywood Bubble, Rajpal spoke about his struggles, nepotism and a lot more. He also shared his thoughts on South vs Bollywood.

Post pandemic, South movies including RRR, Pushpa: The Rise did well as compared to Bollywood movies at the box office. There has been a constant debate on South vs Bollywood.

Rajpal Yadav shares his thoughts on South Vs Bollywood

So, when asked him to share his take on the same, Rajpal said, “Aaj tak maine koi film aisi nahi hai jisme maine kaam kiya ho usme 250 log hai joh pachas South ke naa ho, pachas North ke naa ho ya North or East ke naa ho. (Till date, I have not worked in any film where there are 250 people, of which 50 are not from the South, 50 are not from the North, or not from the North and East/

He added, “Bolte hai na ke jitney technicians se leke koi, pata laga actor North ka hai toh cameraman South ka hai. Mujhe aisa lagta hai jab koi cinema super hit hota hai, toh mere liye who mere Bharat ka cinema hota hai. Toh I think cinema ki puri duniya mein koi diware nahi hai. (You know, it’s often said that from technicians to anyone, if you find out an actor is from the North, the cameraman is from the South. I feel that when a film becomes a super hit, for me, it represents Indian cinema. So, I think there are no walls in the world of cinema).”

Is Bollywood threatened by South cinema?

Rajpal said, “Jitna bhi South cinema nikal ke aayega, utna hi Bollywood ko aur khushi hogi. (As much South cinema will shine, Bollywood will be even happier).”

In the recent time, Bollywood movies have also been creating a storm at the box office. Pathaan, Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 to Jawan, Bollywood films have been doing great business.

On the other hand, Rajpal has Welcome To The Jungle. It also stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Lara Dutta, Raveena Tandon, and Disha Patani among others. Welcome To The Jungle will release on 20^th December, 2024.
