Jawan movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara was released on September 7 and its Day 1 collection took the box office by storm. Though the official numbers are not out yet, it is estimated that Jawan has collected Rs 65.50 crore in Hindi on its opening day. With the latest numbers, Jawan has also beaten the opening day collections of his own film Pathaan. Siddharth Anand’s directorial venture had collected Rs 57 crores while Jawan earned over Rs 60 crores.

In fact, Jawan has also surpassed the first-day collection of Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 which collected Rs 40.10 crore. Jawan has conquered the first position in the highest opening day collections of Bollywood movies in 2023, beating Gadar 2. Whereas in the highest opening day collections of Bollywood movies of all time, Jawan surpassed the day 1 collection of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan earned Rs 129.60 crores worldwide on day 1. It is expected to show tremendous growth over the weekend.
