India recently celebrated its 77^th Independence Day on 15 August 2023. Well, the reach of the Indian community is widespread, and our culture is celebrated beyond the borders of our country. Just like every year, the world’s largest India Day Parade in New York City kicked off on August 20 in New York. Every year the parade is organized by a leading diaspora organization to commemorate India’s Independence Day. The parade saw the participation of some well-known Indian celebrities like Jacqueliene Fernandez and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

During the parade, Jacqueline Fernandez was seen waving the Indian tricolor. The actress looked every bit gorgeous in the bright red saree. She was seen beaming with joy as she participated in the event. Sharing a glimpse of the grand parade, Jacqueline posted a series of pictures on her social media handle. She wrote in the caption, “Thank you for making me a part of the 41st India Day Parade in New York! It was truly an overwhelming moment (sic)”.

Popular South actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu also took part in Sunday’s India Day Parade in New York. “It is truly an honour for me to be here today…you have made me realize how rich my culture and heritage is and what I have seen today will last me for a lifetime. Thank you for all the support through the years. Thank you USA for supporting every film of mine,” Samantha said.

Many Indian celebrities have been invited to the parade in the past, including Arjun Rampal, Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunny Deol, Allu Arjun, and Raveena Tandon.

On the work front, Jacqueline will be next seen in Fateh alongside Sonu Sood. She also has Crakk with Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal in her lineup. She was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, alongside Ranveer Singh. The film was a dud at the box office. She also appeared in a special song titled Deewane in Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi’s Selfiee. Meanwhile Samantha will be next seen in the movie Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda and also in the upcoming Indian Citadel with Varun Dhawan.
