Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is in its third week and the film is continuing to grow at the box office. However, RRKPK is not only ruling domestic markets but taking the overseas box office by storm. The prem of Rocky and Rani is seeing no boundaries as their love has been crossed overseas. This is indeed a huge milestone for the movie.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani overseas market

We recently got to know about the latest numbers, stating RRKPK earned USD 750K on its third Saturday at the overseas box office. The total comes to USD 13.96MM. Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer is holding strong overseas on 3rd Saturday which is commendable. Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani is on the way to being a BLOCKBUSTER in the overseas markets.

Karan Johar’s directorial venture collected good footfalls from the key markets in the UK and North America. And despite new releases like Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 and Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani managed to bring good collections. The collection of the family entertainer is much higher than Gadar 2 and OMG 2’s first Saturday collection. Moreover, KJo’s movie has also surpassed the number for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani in North America at USD6.2MM. The movie was headlined by Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.

Karan Johar’s special note to his RRKPK team

After the success of RRKPK, filmmaker Karan Johar took to his Instagram account to share a long emo post. He expressed gratitude to each one of them who worked in the movie. From Ranveer and Alia to the technicians, Karan thanked them from the bottom of his heart.

“Prior to the release of this film, I felt that at any point of time, I would need an IV drip and was near collapse. The question I asked myself was – Is it the long 7 year gap? Or the anxiety built over the last 3 years. Or the fact that we live in an ambiguous box office time. Whatever the real reason is – I was a bonafide mess. But the Friday, 28th of July, I felt nothing but gratitude, validation and sheer joy. This film is truly a product of team energy & love,” KJo started his note.

This family entertainer also stars Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra. The movie was released on July 28.
