Chhavi Mittal is an avid social media user. The popular television has been away from screen for a while now but she makes sure to keep her followers updated about her whereabouts. In April 2022, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery. Since then, she has always been vocal about her journey of battling the deadly disease. And now tragedy has striked her again as she is still bearing the brunt of cancer treatment. Chhavi recently got diagnosed with costocondritis.
Chhavi Mittal shares her ordeal of dealing with costocondritis
The actress took to her Instagram and shared with her fans about the diagnosis. She shared, “Naya wali beemari layi hoon market mein. It’s called costocondritis. Fancy no? (It’s an injury to a cartilage in the chest) The probable cause could be radiation (cancer treatment) or a side effect of the injection I took for osteopenia (a condition with low BMD) or it could be incessant cough (which I had a few days back) or a combination of one or more or all.”

She further wrote about how painful the disease is and how is it affecting her body. She further wrote, “I have pain while breathing, or using my hand, or arm, or lying down, or sitting, or laughing or pretty much everything. No, I’m not always positive about it, but I’m rarely negative. So, holding my chest in my hand, I went to the gym (my happiest place) coz u know what? We all get knocked down, but do we get up again? Well I do! For anyone who needs to hear this.. I know ur suffering in some way or the other.. but ur not alone! And THIS TOO SHALL PASS.”
Several fans reacted to Chhavi’s post and applauded her courage. While one user commented, “Sending you best wishes .., you can sail through this … kudos to your positivity …”, another wrote, “@chhavihussein please take care. You will be in my prayers. You need to win and give a massive comeback.”
