Bollywood has given us many on-screen duos which defined friendships. One of the most hilarious and favourite duos that reigns supreme in the world of comedy to date is Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. Yes, it’s none other than Munna Bhai and Circuit. Sanjay and Arshad’s timing of comedy, humour and acting prowess proved that there can’t be another Munna Bhai and Circuit. Now, news has emerged that the two will be starring in the third part of the movie Welcome.

Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi to star in Welcome 3

Director Anees Bazmee has decided to treat the fans with the third installment of the movie Welcome. Pinkvilla reported that Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will be replacing Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar’s characters in the Welcome movie franchise. A source close to the development stated, “Of the 3 films under Firoz Nadiadwala’s banner, Welcome might be the first to take off as the script is ready a while back. The filmmaker is planning to bring a spin in the narrative of this comic caper by getting Sanjay Dutt and Arshad to play the notorious gangsters – Majnu and Uday. The duo have already shown their chemistry as Munna and Circuit and now it will be time to explore the dimension in a new franchise.”

Just like Sanjay and Arshad set a mark of being one of the most iconic duos in comedy, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor did the same. While Nana played the role of Uday Shetty, Anil perfectly fits the character of Majnu Bhai. The two were immensely loved on-screen in the first part of the movie that was released in 2007 – Welcome. And then they reprised their role again in Welcome Back that was released in 2015.

Here’s why Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are no longer a part of Welcome 3

You ask why Nana and Anil walked out of the project? The source stated that the were disagreements between the duo and the producer on monetary matters. Also the script of Welcome 3 is locked and will go on floors next year.

Currently, the identity of the director for the movie Welcome is being kept confidential. However, insider information reveals that preparations for the film are quietly underway in Firoz Nadiadwala’s office. Additionally, it is anticipated that Suniel Shetty will also join the cast of Welcome 3. In addition, Akshay Kumar who has been a part of the Welcome franchise as the leading character, will reprise his role as Rajiv.

With latest development we are already excited for the upcoming details and official announcement. It’s about to be a laughter riot with the best of actors coming together. But, we will certainly miss watching Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor as Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai on-screen.

Apart from this, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will be soon seen together in a movie again. But, it’s not Munna Bhai 3. Earlier, two took to their Instagram to share an intriguing poster. Fans speculated that the it could be Munna Bhai 3. But, unfortunately it’s not. We eagerly wait to know the details of this yet-to-be titled film.

Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi upcoming movies

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt is gearing up for the release of the pan-India film KD where he will be seen with Shilpa Shetty. He also has Baap with Mithun Chakravarty, Sunny Deol and Jackie Shroff. Moreover, Dutt also be seen in Hera Pheri 3. In addition, he will be seen in the movie The Virgin Tree which also stars Palak Tiwari. On the other hand, Arshad Warsi is now all set to reprise his role as Jolly in Jolly LLB 3 alongside Akshay Kumar.
