Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumarr Modi has been at the centre of controversy since Jennifer Mistry accused him of sexual harassment. On Tuesday, Mumbai Police registered a complaint against Asit Kumarr Modi, operation head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj.
Case filed against Asit Kumarr Modi, Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj
ANI reported, “Powai Police has registered a case against Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi, operation head Sohail Ramani, and executive producer Jatin Bajaj under sections 354 and 509 of the IPC based on a complaint by actor of the show. No arrests have been made in this case so far: Mumbai Police.”

The complaint is filed under IPC (Indian Penal Code) sections 354 and 509 i.e. assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty. But, as of now, the accused are not taken into custody.
Jennifer Mistry accused Asit Kumarr Modi on sexual harassment
All this started when Jennifer Mistry who played Roshan Sodhi on Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah left the show. On revealing the reason Jennifer Mistry accused the Asit of sexual harassment. Jennifer also claimed that TMKOC’s operation head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj behaved badly with her on the sets of the show.

Mumbai Police earlier said, “The actor from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has filed a written complaint against a producer alleging sexual harassment. According to her complaint, Taarak Mehta producer Asit Modi and some crew members sexually harassed her. However, an FIR has yet to be registered. We have started an inquiry.” Asit, Sohail and Jatin all denied the allegations.
In an exclusive with Bollywood Bubble, Jennifer she wants an apology from Asit. She said, “Unke karaein apni taraf se aisa nahi chahti ki unko kuch ho, woh bhagwan ne aur bhi kuch plan kia hoga toh. Abhi bhi mein chahti hu ki woh ek maafi mangle. Itna woh publish kara de ki ‘Jenny bhool chuk maaf karna.’ Aisa karde toh it’s ok. I don’t want to take this further (This serial is because of Asit Kumarr Modi. But the thing is, I don’t want anything bad to happen to him from my end, God has a plan. I only want him to apologize. I want him to say that ‘Jenny, please forgive me for my mistakes’).”
