Basketball player Tristan Thompson is now hitting the headlines as he has publicly admitted that he fathered a child with Maralee Nichols after doing a paternity test. Tristan who has been dating Khloe Kardashian for a very long time took to his Instagram stories and released a statement saying he has taken the test and is responsible for his actions. However, he also mentioned that he will raise his and Maralee’s son amicably while apologising to everyone. 

“Today, paternity test rest results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols," Tristan wrote in a statement. "I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”

Tristan who shares a 3-year-old daughter with the Kardashian sister continued with a direct apology to Khloe, saying "Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the headache and humiliation I caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”

Amid the NBA player's cheating allegations, Khloe and Tristan continued to co-parent their daughter True Thompson. Nevertheless, a source told Us Weekly that Khloe knew about the child before the news broke out and she is hurt and trying to stay strong.

For the unversed, Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson were in an on and off relationship. However, the relationship hit a rough patch when he was caught cheating on the former in 2018. She was pregnant with her first daughter, True, at the time.
