The Yankees postpone Monday’s game because of the Solar Eclipse

New York Yankees/Instagram

In case you haven’t heard, there is going to be a Solar Eclipse on Monday. Therefore, people are planning on watching it even though it is happening during the middle of the day.

Case in point. It is expected to last between 2:09 p.m. and 4:37 p.m. in NYC, the exact time the New York Yankees were slated to play the Florida Marlins.

I put that in the past tense because they changed the start time. The team wrote, “After discussions with Major League Baseball, the scheduled start time of the Yankees-Marlins game on Monday, April 8 at Yankee Stadium has been changed from 2:05 p.m. to 6:05 p.m.”

As a compensation to the fans who are attending the game, they are getting a Yankees Solar Eclipse T-Shirt presented by HubSpot.

I miss the days when they handed out baseball bats.

Back to the game. Doors will open at 2 p.m. If I were still in The Bronx, I would go to the stadium to watch it because I am sure it is going to look pretty cool from there.
