With a 98% audience score and an impressive 72% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, “Sing 2” is sure to hit the mark for everyone – from parents and children to those who never grew up. And best of all, this heartwarming movie can now be streamed on Netflix. All that’s left is to introduce you to the amazing star-studded cast behind these beloved characters so without any further delay: let’s get started!

Voice Cast of ‘Sing 2’ – Meet the Stars

The Voice cast of “Sing 2” is star-studded with some big names such as Matthew McConaughey as Buster Moon, Reese Witherspoon as Rosita, Scarlett Johansson as Ash, and Taron Egerton as Johnny among others. Each character brings their unique talent and charm to their role which adds depth and emotion to this family-friendly animated film. It’s no wonder why this talented group was able to create such an enchanting movie!

Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey)

Exuding positivity, the adorably ambitious koala bear Buster is flourishing as he runs his New Moon Theater in the wake of a memorable outdoor concert from the “Sing” movie. To impress a talent scout, Buster sets out on an enthralling mission to reunite his crew and put together their most spectacular show yet – in the bustling metropolis.

The renowned actor Matthew McConaughey has given his voice to three animated films, including both “Sing” movies and “Kubo and the Two Strings.” He was previously known for romantic comedies like “How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” but he had an outstanding career revival when he began starring in dramatic hits such as the award-winning “Dallas Buyers Club,” “Mud,” “Interstellar,” and “True Detective.”

Rosita (Reese Witherspoon)

After toiling away as a selfless stay-at-home mother of 25 piglets, Rosita is finally pursuing her childhood dream of performing in the renowned Redshore City. With Norman’s encouragement and support pushing her through this journey, she has managed to take on greater risks than ever before. However, even with all the hard work that goes into rehearsals for stardom, there’s still one individual standing between Rosita and success – herself.

The world fell in love with the iconic Elle Woods from “Legally Blonde,” but Reese Witherspoon first made her splash onscreen as a teenager in 1991’s drama, “The Man In The Moon.” Her acting prowess would later be recognized with an Academy Award for Best Actress for portraying June Carter Cash in “Walk the Line.” Subsequently, she has also become a successful producer of hit shows like “Big Little Lies” and “The Morning Show,” and has now brought laughter to us all through Netflix’s rom-com starring Ashton Kutcher—titled “Your Place or Mine.”

Reese will be joining Jennifer Coolidge to reprise their roles in the upcoming “Legally Blonde 3.” She has recently played her hand in producing TV shows like Prime Video’s “Daisy Jones & The Six,” Hulu’s “Tiny Beautiful Things,” and will also star in Disney’s “Tinker Bell” (2025).

Ash (Scarlett Johansson)

The courageous porcupine punk rock guitarist, Ash, who knows no bounds when it comes to her emotions and is not afraid to take risks despite the potential for heartache, has decided on a new path. She strives to convince an acclaimed celebrity to save the show from disaster. While she may be tough-as-nails on the outside, deep down she is full of compassion and will always lend a helping hand whenever necessary.

Academy Award-nominated actress Scarlett Johansson lends her voice to the character of Ash. She is widely recognized for her role as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including “Black Widow,” “Iron Man 2,” and the Avengers movies, among others. In 2020, she gained two Academy Award nominations for performances in both “Marriage Story” and “Jojo Rabbit.”

On June 23rd, she will make her appearance in Wes Anderson’s feature release “Asteroid City,” and later star alongside Channing Tatum in Apple TV Plus’ drama “Project Artemis.” She is also set to appear in two other films: Kristin Scott Thomas’ directorial debut “My Mother’s Wedding” and the award-winning director Sebastián Lelio’s new drama “Bride.”

Meena (Tori Kelly)

The shy elephant who stunned the audience with her marvelous singing is back on stage, yet this time she’s partnered up with someone new for an enchanting act. Meena must conquer her distaste for her self-centered co-star to put on a successful show, all while having feelings toward an adorable ice cream scooper.

Tori Kelly, the celebrated voice behind Meena in ‘Sing,’ previously auditioned for American Idol back in 2010. After independently releasing her EP, Capitol Records signed her to their label. This motion picture was Tori’s debut in the film industry and she has not looked back since.

Johnny (Taron Egerton)

After finally earning the respect of his mobster father, Johnny is ready to launch headfirst into any challenge necessary in pursuit of achieving his lofty goals. In Sing’s first film, we witnessed Johnny summon up the courage and bravery needed to defy his dad, as well as gain a newfound drive for stardom. With much more knowledge still on the horizon, he has enlisted an ally whose help can aid him through this stage’s important changes to ensure success in all that follows.

Taron Egerton, a Welsh actor who started his career on the stage, gives life to Johnny’s character. He is recognized for playing Eggsy in the Kingsman films and Elton John in “Rocketman,” a 2019 musical film. Even more impressive? Taron performed “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” with Elton himself.

Further solidifying his fame was Egerton’s successful performance as James Keene in Apple TV+’s limited miniseries titled “Black Bird.” His next two movies are sure to be smash hits too: they include “Tetris”, a biographical drama coming to Apple TV, and a Netflix action-thriller called “Carry On.”

Gunter (Nick Kroll)

His Piggy Power has enabled the dazzling, singing swine to return with more enthusiasm and confidence. Seemingly unbothered by his presence on stage, this passionate dancing pig continues to boogie and perform joyfully – but this act may be unpredictable enough to cause a roadblock in his rise to fame.

Nick Kroll, the hilarious actor behind Gunter’s voice, is well-known for his roles in the “Kroll Show,” “The League,” and for co-creating Netflix’s iconic show “Big Mouth” where he voices Coach Steve, Maurice the Hormone Monster, Lola, and Rick. He will soon be gracing screens with Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson as a lead character in the Christmas action comedy flick “Red One.”

Darius (Eric André)

Meena’s leading man, a yak with golden tresses, may fit the physical requirements for her love interest; however, his haughty and pompous personality renders him unappealing to his co-star.

The wildly popular and zany late-night talk show “The Eric André Show” is produced by the inimitable comedian, Eric André. On his program, he invites celebrities as guests while incorporating peculiar musical performances – a distinct twist to the usual format. This marks Eric’s third stint as a voice actor: Azizi in Disney’s “The Lion King” (2019) and Mark Bowman from Netflix’s “The Mitchells vs. The Machines” were two of his past roles.

Porsha Crystal (Halsey)

Porsha Crystal, daughter of Jimmy Crystal and devoted follower of Clay Calloway’s troupe, boldly crashes their show. Her unwavering assurance is unquestioned but Buster finds fault with her performance anyways. Unsurprisingly, this doesn’t sit well with Porsha’s father who isn’t too pleased with the outcome.

Halsey, the award-winning singer and songwriter behind the mega-hit “Closer,” has taken on her second voice-acting role in Porsha. She had previously played Wonder Woman in the 2018 film “Teen Titans Go! To The Movies.” Not only is she renowned for her debut studio album, “Badlands” – certified double platinum upon release – but also released an hour-long film titled “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power” that coincides with her namesake album of the same name.

Nooshy (Letitia Wright)

The talented lynx street performer, Nooshy attracts massive crowds with her graceful dance moves, and a tip jar close. Johnny was having difficulty mastering his dancing techniques when he asked the breakdancer to show him how she moved so effortlessly.

Nooshy is proudly voiced by Letitia Wright, the iconic actress, and star of Marvel’s blockbuster “Black Panther”, and its sequels “Avengers: Infinity Wars,” “Avengers: Endgame” and most recently, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”

Clay Calloway (Bono)

The mysterious and reclusive rock star, Clay Calloway, who has been absent from the public eye for over fifteen years, might just be the missing piece to saving both the show and its troupe’s future. But it will take more than luck; this journey requires him to rediscover his passion for music while also grappling with painful memories of his late wife.

The renowned rock star, Clay Calloway, is portrayed by the iconic Bono, most famous for his fronting of U2. Garth Jennings told Forbes, “It was never a case for us that it could maybe be him in this role; we knew Bono would be perfect.” As for films, Bono has produced “The Million Dollar Hotel” (2000) and featured in “Across The Universe,” performing a rendition of The Beatles’ classic hit single “I Am The Walrus.”

Alfonso (Pharrell Williams)

Magnificently tusked and debonair, Alfonso is an ice cream vendor whose mere presence causes Meena’s cheeks to turn a rosy hue. While he may not take center stage, his support of her efforts is always present in the background – making this power couple truly unstoppable!

The multi-talented artist and producer, Pharrell Williams, makes a welcomed return to voice Alfonso in “Sing 2.” His captivating 2013 song “Happy” was an international success and earned him many accolades. Familiar with Illumination Entertainment from his past work on composing for the hit franchise “Despicable Me,” audiences will be enchanted by his musical abilities once more.

Miss Crawly (Garth Jennings)

Miss Crawly is a loyal assistant to Buster Moon, as well as an accomplished music instructor. Despite losing her glass eye and making the occasional $100,000 mistake along the way, she remains kind-hearted and ever-ready to lend a helping hand when anyone in their circle requires it.

With his extensive knowledge in the entertainment industry, Garth Jennings is the perfect actor to bring Miss Crawly to life. From voicing hamsters and mice in beloved animated films such as “The Secret Life of Pets 2,” “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and “Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy,” to directing “Sing” and its sequel – there’s no doubt that Jennings has an extraordinary talent for telling stories.

Nana Noodleman (Jennifer Saunders)

The affluent Nana Noodleman is not only the grandmother of Eddie but also an accomplished former theater actress and famous singer. She played in the same venue that Buster Moon grew up loving, inspiring him to develop a passion for theater arts.

Jennifer Saunders, best known for playing Edina Monsoon in the hit show “Absolutely Fabulous,” was chosen to voice Nana. Her comedic style and quirks make the character even more delightful, while her brilliant acting skills give Nana an extra spark of life. Saunders has been in show business since 1981, and continues to have a successful career playing various roles in films such as “Minions” and “Shrek 2.”

Suki (Chelsea Peretti)

The blunt talent scout for Jimmy Crystal at Crystal Entertainment bluntly told Buster that despite how adorable the production of “Alice In Wonderland” was, it simply didn’t meet expectations. She may have initially been disheartening to the troupe, but this Saluki dog still had a chance to lend her helping paw when they needed it most.

Blessed with incredible comedic timing and wit, Chelsea Peretti is a household name known for her work as Gina Linetti in the hit series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” – where she also served as a writer.

A comedian at heart, Peretti has had an extensive career writing scripts for shows such as “Parks And Recreation” and “Saturday Night Live”, while additionally guest starring on comedy staples like “Key & Peele,” “Drunk History,” “American Dad” and more recently Netflix’s animated sitcom “Big Mouth.”

Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale)

The colorful cast of Buster Moon’s crew is determined to make a name for themselves in the glitzy metropolis of Redshore City, but their success relies entirely on impressing the infamous entertainment mogul Jimmy Crystal who runs Crystal Entertainment. Without his stamp of approval, they will be forced back into performing at their small-town theater.

Award-winning actor Bobby Cannavale breathes life into Crystal, as his achievements on the big and small screens are simply astounding. From “The Boardwalk” to “Will & Grace,” from “Mr. Robot” to “Master Of None,” it is no surprise that he has garnered numerous accolades for his incredible talent.

Norman (Nick Offerman)

After witnessing Rosita’s remarkable talent at the life-saving concert, her workaholic husband, Norman, finally accepted his wife’s growing fame with open arms. He must be there for her in this powerful moment as she tackles the leading role that instills fear within her.

The talented comedian and carpenter, Nick Offerman is no stranger to voice acting. He has lent his iconic deadpan delivery in “Parks and Recreation” to other projects such as “The Lego Movie” series, “Hotel Transylvania 2,” and “Ice Age: Collision Course.”

Klaus Kickenklober (Adam Buxton)

Klaus, the strict yet unkind dance instructor, attempts to teach Johnny a style of movement that leaves him feeling flustered. Voice actor and character comedian Adam Buxton lends his voice to Klaus; famous for his involvement in several panel and sketch comedy shows as well as narrating audiobooks. Buxton has also tried his hand at radio hosting, appearing on BBC Radio 6, and writing a book titled “Ramble Book.”

Linda Le Bon (Julia Davis)

Linda is the spirited equine presenter of “Hot News,” an illustrious talk show featured in the captivating movie “Sing 2”. In her first scene, Linda is discussing Jimmy Crystal’s decision to appoint Buster Moon as the producer for his intergalactic musical production, “Out of This World.” Every word she speaks evokes enthusiasm and excitement that leaps off the screen.

British actress and writer, Julia Davis portrays Linda Le Bon, who is known for her roles in “Nighty Night” (2004) and “Love Actually” (2003). She was also the creator of the Sky Atlantic comedy-drama series, “Hunderby,” which earned her a nomination at the 2013 BAFTA Television Awards.

Big Daddy (Peter Serafinowicz)

Big Daddy is a powerful figure in the animated film “Sing” and its sequel, “Sing 2.” He holds a special place in Johnny’s heart as his father, yet also remains notorious for being the former leader of an infamous band of robbers. He puts immense pressure on Johnny to carry out his legacy despite wanting something different. Furthermore, he owns a garage that serves dual purposes – it functions both as living quarters and a hideaway place for his criminal activities.

Peter Serafinowicz, best known for his role as Pete in “Shaun Of The Dead” (2004), voices Big Daddy. He has also appeared in films such as “Guardians Of The Galaxy” (2014) and its sequel, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” (2017).
