Where Can You Watch “Temptation Island?”

Fans looking to stream the drama of USA Network’s “Temptation Island” can catch the show using several platforms.

All seasons of the series’ revival — including the newest fourth season — are available for streaming on the USA website, or you can watch it live if you have access to live TV.

The first two seasons are also available to stream for free through Peacock, NBC’s streaming service. The third and fourth seasons of the reality show are accessible if you upgrade your account to Peacock Premium or Premium Plus.

While a basic Hulu subscription doesn’t offer the program, you can watch the latest episodes of “Temptation Island” season four if you’ve paid for Hulu + Live TV. You can also rent or purchase episodes — including season four episodes as they air — on Amazon Prime and YouTube TV.

Unfortunately, there isn’t an easy or reliable way to stream the original “Temptation Island” seasons that aired from 2001 to 2003, although you might find some of them on YouTube.

What Is “Temptation Island” About?

In each season of “Temptation Island,” four couples — each at a crossroads in their relationship — are brought together for a social experiment. The series tests the strength of their relationships as they’re whisked away to a tropical locale to live among singles of the opposite sex. By the end of each season, the couples decide if they’re ready to dedicate themselves to their relationships or if they want to embrace the single life.

Are the Couples on “Temptation Island” Real?

Those watching “Temptation Island” might be wondering how real the show — and the drama — is, but many contestants say it isn’t scripted or staged.

One season four contestant, Madelyn Rusinyak, said the show is “100 percent real.” She added, “Every time I had an emotion, and it shows on-screen, I was genuinely feeling that emotion.”

Another former contestant, Karl Collins, who appeared on the show with his then partner Nicole Tuteworkly, has also defended the show and is adamant that it isn’t fake. “Friends, they ask, ‘Is it scripted?’ I just tell them no, it’s not. It’s as real as it gets. I think it’s important for viewers to know that,” said Collins.

For those who are still skeptical — especially about how people can fall in love so quickly over a matter of weeks — host Mark L. Walberg said, “If you lived together for 24 hours a day, and that’s all you’re doing and there’s no distractions, relationships come and go very quickly.”

How Many “Temptation Island” Seasons and Episodes Are There?

Many people might be surprised to learn that “Temptation Island” was one of the first reality dating shows, even predating “The Bachelor” and its spinoffs.

The show premiered in 2001 and aired on Fox for three years before being canceled due to low ratings. The first season of the original “Temptation Island” series ran from Jan. 10 to Feb. 28, 2001, with eight episodes. Season two aired 12 episodes from Oct. 31, 2001, to Feb. 14, 2002. The third season of the original “Temptation Island” had eight episodes run from Aug. 28 to Sept. 29, 2003.

The show was revived after 16 years, bringing back all the drama of couples at a crossroads who either make a commitment by the end of the TV series or are tempted by one of the singles on the show.

The first season of the revival, which was filmed in Maui, Hawaii, premiered on Jan. 15, 2019. The last of 12 episodes aired on March 26, 2019. Season two of this revival aired 12 episodes from Oct. 10 to Dec. 19, 2019, and season three aired from Feb. 16 to April 27, 2021, also with 12 episodes.

Season 4 of the reality dating series revival kicked off on March 16, 2022.

About the “Temptation Island” Cast

Each season of the “Temptation Island” revival features four new couples who are contemplating their relationships’ futures. They’re flown to a tropical destination and separated — the men live among 12 single women and the women live among a dozen single guys. All 24 single individuals are there because they also want to form a connection and find love.

The couples are encouraged to think about their relationships and get to know other potential partners during their time apart.

There’s no monetary prize at the end of the series, but the couples have a renewed sense of their relationship and must decide: Will they stay together or break up?

About the Host of “Temptation Island”

“Temptation Island” host Mark L. Walberg has been a television personality in the U.S. for decades. He might be best known as the long-time host of “Antiques Roadshow” on PBS, but he’s been involved with numerous TV shows and specials: “Shop ‘til You Drop,” “Test the Nation,” “Moment of Truth,” and “Russian Roulette.”

Walberg hosted the original version of “Temptation Island” between 2001 and 2003. When the show was revived in 2019, he couldn’t stay away and has hosted the reality show during the four seasons of its revival, including the season that started airing in March 2022.

There were really no reality TV dating shows when the show originally aired. The format was so unique that it was an instant hit, he said.

“Here was a reality show in the beginning of reality that had really very little gimmick or format other than the conceit of the show,” Walberg said. “Once these people got to the island, what seems to be a contrived reality show ends up being a very real experience for the people involved.”

Although it had low ratings by the third season of the original version, he believed in the format enough to return when “Temptation Island” was revived in 2019.

At that point, the original series was off many people’s radars, especially the contestants who were likely too young to watch when the show first aired.

“People who were coming on this show had no point of reference. Their reference is ‘The Bachelor,’ and shows like that they’ve been watching their whole life — which ironically came out of ‘Temptation Island,’” Walberg said.

He added that the show makes good, entertaining television that appeals to human emotions.

Notable “Temptation Island” Couples

One of the best things about reality dating shows is the memorable couples. Here are some of the more notable couples and cast members from “Temptation Island.”

Evan Smith and Kaci Campbell:

In 2019, after five years together, this couple joined “Temptation Island” certain they could make it through. It didn’t take long after going on the show for Smith to begin dating Morgan Lolar. He split with Campbell during the final bonfire and proposed to Lolar. The two later split, though.

David Benavidez and Kate Griffith:

This was another high-drama couple, with Benavidez even having a threesome with other cast members while on “Temptation Island.” He left the house with actress Toneata Morgan but got back together with Griffith after the show ended.

Javen Butler and Shari Ligons:

Of course, not every couple on the island is a hot mess. This couple got engaged during the 2019 finale. They’re still engaged and plan to get married when they’re 30.

Gavin Rocker and Esonica Veira:

Although they were an early fan favorite in season two of the “Temptation Island” revival, Veira surprised many people when she fell for one of the island’s singles: former basketball player Kareem Thomas.

Nicole Tutewohl and Karl Collins:

Although they decided to split during the 2019 finale, they later got back together.

Meet the “Temptation Island” Season 4 Couples

With season four underway, let’s meet the latest couples to test their relationships on “Temptation Island.”

Hania Stocker and Ash Lamiroult:

New Mexico couple Lamiroult, a writer, and Stocker, a garden designer, have been together for 1.5 years. They first met through mutual friends before matching on a dating app.

Lascelles Lagares and Ashley Rodriguez:

This couple from Queens, New York, has been dating for seven years. Now, Rodriguez wants to take their relationship to the next level by getting engaged.

Gillian Lieberman and Edgar de Santiago:

These college sweethearts met at Ball State University. Now, Lieberman is a realtor in West Palm Beach, Florida, and de Santiago is working as a customer experience specialist in Indiana.

Iris Jardiel and Luke Weschelberger:

This Seattle couple has been together for four years. They both have issues with jealousy, and Weschelberger has been caught flirting with other girls multiple times.
