When is the X-Men 97 Release Date?

X-Men 97 does not have a release date, but is expected to release in early 2024.

That’s according to The Hollywood Reporter, after Marvel Studios shuffled up its release calendar for the late stage of 2023 onwards. X-Men 97 was one of the titles affected, shifted to an early 2024 release window.

It’s most likely that X-Men 97 will release in the first few months of 2024, some weeks after Echo ends its run. That show is confirmed to land on January 9, with all episodes dropping on Disney+ and Hulu. As such, Marvel Studios will probably leave some leeway, so look out for X-Men 97 between February and May 2024.

As such, there isn’t too long left to wait until X-Men 97 releases and fans can dive into the cartoon once again. It’s not technically an MCU instalment, instead taking place after the events of the original series, continuing that line of continuity.

That said, given the MCU has pivoted heavily on the multiverse, there’s an easy route for it to be looped in once the core X-Men have entered the fray. Even better, writer Beau DeMayo confirmed to The Direct that the series itself will definitively clarify its position within MCU canon.

For those desperate to catch up with beloved characters like Cyborg, Jean Grey, and Wolverine, there’s a very short wait left. Since it’s now been a fair few years since we last saw these characters in 2019’s Dark Phoenix, it’s bound to be a welcome reunion.
